Be Calm: A Guided Journal By Christopher C. Hutcheson, LCSW
What inspired Be Calm: A Guided Journal?
The magic of seeing people heal has always left me spellbound. Over the years, I’ve been privileged to see people overcome panic, leave behind harmful thoughts, and even walk out of wheelchairs. Each of these outcomes came with considerable resources that sadly not everyone has easy access to. Was there a way I could take the skills I knew about anxiety and give them to as many people as possible? Could I do this for people who didn’t necessarily need that level of service or wanted a journal supplement to use with their individual therapist? There had to be something I could do.
What went into The Book?
Be Calm: A Guided Journal takes my 14+ years of knowledge, training, and experience in treating anxiety and puts it into an affordable self-guided format. The book takes some of the most powerful skills I know to give you tools to change thoughts, perspectives, and even a your body chemistry. Inspirational quotes and helpful, down to earth prompts to give people the ability to discover the source of their anxiety. Much more importantly, it has exercises to do something about it.
